Uganda History on Forests Dies Away

According to the poverty eradication action (2004/5 -2007/8) forests in Uganda used to provide an annual economic value of $360m (6% GDP). Diagnostic study on small and medium forest enterprises in Uganda (2009). The rate at which tress are being destroyed is quite high. In remote areas of Masaka, fuel powered machines are being heard every day and night cutting down trees.
